Discover our Product Range

Biowest Nordic is the ideal partner for both researchers and biopharmaceutical companies.

We propose a wide range of geographical origins of bovine sera. Biowest Nordic is aware of the importance of choosing the right serum origin, as different applications allow the use of different types of origins with different prices.

Biowest Nordic guarantees the best choice of sera origins for all needs.

Worldwide Sources of Sera and Widest Range of Products

Biowest supervises the entire manufacturing process from the collection around the world to the shipment of bottled serum from the warehouse.

We therefore guarantee a vertically integrated system of production and documentation.
Using specialized equipment, detailed SOPs and audits, Biowest ensures quality control at every stage and low intra-lot variation.

Bovine Serum Albumin

Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) is a little protein of 66kDa present in animal serum and makes up approximately 60% of all proteins.

Because of its negative charge, Bovine Serum Albumin binds water, salts, fatty acids, vitamins and hormones and carries these bound components between tissues and cells.

Sera & Plasma

Discover our portfolio of FBS, animal sera, BSA, and human-derived products.

Each manufactured batch is subjected to strict quality control. Every batch is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis.

The Biowest Nordic Quality System provides complete traceability of raw materials to their original supplier and collection location.

Products from all geographical origins can be processed.

Cell Culture Media

Cell culture refers to the techniques used to maintain and propagate cells outside their native tissue environment under controlled conditions that support survival and growth.

All of our products undergo comprehensive quality control testing, including assessment of pH, osmolality, composition, homogeneity, glucose and sodium levels, endotoxin content, and biological performance.

Cell Culture Reagents

Cell culture reagents are essential components required for the growth and maintenance of cells in vitro. These include culture media, serum, and growth factors.

Additional reagents, such as cell dissociation enzymes, also play a key role in preserving cell integrity and performance. Their quality directly influences the overall condition of cultured cells, emphasizing the importance of proper handling, storage, and use.

Salt Solutions

Salt solutions help maintain the osmolarity of laboratory reagents and contribute to pH stability through their buffering properties. They are widely used as washing solutions for cells prior to dissociation and as reaction buffers in biochemical assays such as ELISA, as well as in other diagnostic applications.

In microbiology, saline solutions are also employed in the preparation of culture media and in the dilution of samples for microbial testing.
