DMEM – Ham’s F12 medium is a mixture (1:1) of DMEM and Ham’s F12 media. Developed initially to study hormonal requirements of cells in culture, DMEM-Ham’s F12 is used as basal medium for growing many different mammalian cells (MDCK, fibroblasts, endothelial cells).
Its formulation contains no sodium bicarbonate.
